About Dogwood Autism Services
Dogwood Autism Services specializes in early intensive behavior intervention using applied behavior analysis (ABA) for children 1 to 7 years old diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our compassionate approach to individualized care focuses on natural environment teaching, least restrictive interventions and caregiver involvement to help each child reach their potential!
Our Services
Communication Skills
We help individuals build meaningful communication skills that support daily life and relationships. Therapy focuses on expressive and receptive language, social communication, and functional communication strategies.
Caregiver Coaching
We partner with caregivers to provide guidance, education, and practical strategies that support growth at home and in everyday routines. Coaching is individualized and focused on building confidence, consistency, and understanding.
Social Skills
We support individuals in developing social skills that encourage positive interactions and meaningful connections. Sessions focus on communication, emotional understanding, and appropriate peer engagement.
School Readiness
We help children develop the foundational skills needed for a successful transition into school. Support focuses on communication, attention, routines, and following classroom expectations. Therapy is individualized to build confidence.
Behavioral Support
We provide individualized behavioral support to help reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive skills. Our approach focuses on understanding the function of behavior and teaching effective, appropriate alternatives.
Adaptive Support
We help individuals build adaptive skills that support independence in daily life. Therapy focuses on self-care, routines, safety, and functional living skills. Support is personalized to each individual’s needs and abilities.

What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. At Dogwood, ABA involves careful design of learning opportunities that motivate your child.
Our application of developmentally appropriate goals provides your child with individualized opportunities to expand their skills for communication, play, social interactions, and school readiness in a natural environment.
We consistently monitor your child’s program and their progress, and we make regular adjustments to keep your child on track to meet their goals.
